All you can do is, as already described, change Safari's User Agent. The user agent is the calling card that a browser uses when it accesses a web site. Changing the user agent means that the browser is announcing itself as something else, Safari saying it is IE 6 for Windows, for example. Changing the user agent does not cause a browser to emulate the other browser, thus Safari using the IE/Win user agent will still behave as Safari and not as IE/Win. If a web site is only looking for the calling card, changing the user agent may be enough to allow Safari to work.
